Certified Postpartum Doula & Registered Nurse
Annika lives in Singapore with her husband and daughter, and wants to provide support, guidance, and information to new parents to help build their confidence with the handling of their babies, and be a helping hand during their new role as parents.
I believe in giving new parents the confidence and knowledge to give their child the best possible start to life!
Annika trained and became a registered nurse in London in 2012 and later became registered in Australia in 2018. She has worked in various medical and gynecology wards in the UK NHS system and surgical wards in Sydney before having time off to settle in Singapore and start a family of her own. She volunteers for Caring for Cambodia by performing health check in schools in Cambodia, and HOME as a health advisor.
Having a child in Singapore without family around for support can be daunting and sometimes overwhelming – Annika became passionate in supporting new mums and dads in the beginning of their parenting journey whilst going through early parenthood herself, and so went on to qualify and receive her certificate as a postpartum doula. She believes in giving new parents the confidence and knowledge to give their child the best possible start in life and to give them practical support to build confidence, as well as providing unbiased, evidence based advice to empower parents to make the right decision for them and their family.
