Evidence Based Info About Introducing Solids to Your Baby
When your baby reaches 6 months old, milk alone no longer gives them all the required nutrients they require. Milk is still the most important, but you will need to start introducing solid food to complement it. When it comes to introducing solid food to a baby there are many aspects to think about, such as:
- How do you know when to start?
- How do I do it safely?
- How much do I give?
- What do I give first?
- Why do I need to start?
- What is the difference between ‘baby led’ and ‘spoon fed’ weaning
- How to introduce allergen foods
Many different people and even organisations will give you differing advice and differing techniques. It can be very overwhelming;
This course is designed to prepare parents to introduce solid food to complement milk feeds from the age of 6 months, as recommended by World health organisation.
Beloved Bumps’ Introducing Solids course is led by a paediatric dietitian and is evidence based, giving you information to make an informed choice on how you want to proceed. Every family is unique and so are their needs and choices. We give you a range of advice, tips and safety guidance depending on which method you would like to follow including baby-led and purees, vegetarian and vegan.
