What you'll
learn to do

Two and a half hours of practical, hands-on teaching focused on the emergencies and everyday health situations parents actually face — with infants and children, in Singapore.

Every skill is practised on manikins. You leave having done it — not just watched it.

Infant & child CPR — step-by-step technique on manikins
Choking response — back blows, chest thrusts, abdominal thrusts
Seizures — what to do, when to call 995
Bleeding & wounds — pressure, packing, when to act fast
Burns & scalds — cooling, covering, assessment
Head injuries — assessment and when to go to A&E
Fever, rashes & breathing — what's normal, what's not, when to act
Allergies & anaphylaxis — recognition and emergency response
Recovery position — adult, child, and infant variations
How to get help in Singapore — 995, urgent care options, what to say

Common questions

Can I attend while pregnant?
Yes — and we'd encourage it. We adapt the CPR manikin positions so you can still practise comfortably. Just let us know when you book and we'll make sure you're set up well.
Can I bring my baby?
Absolutely. This class is designed for parents with young children — we set up play mats so your baby can be nearby while you learn.
Is this a certified course?
Our instructors are accredited by the Singapore Resuscitation and First Aid Council (SRFAC). This is not a Singapore government-certified or subsidised course — it is a comprehensive practical workshop taught to clinical standards.
What should I wear?
Loose, comfortable clothing — you'll be getting up and down from the floor, practising recovery positions, and working with manikins. Trousers or shorts work best.
How long is the class?
2.5 hours including time for questions at the end. We run sessions at our Redhill studio — check current dates when you book.
Do I get anything to take home?
Yes — every participant receives the First Aid for Parents e-book (lifetime access), take-home quick reference cards for key skills, and a first aid starter kit to get your home kit set up straight away.
