8-week community programme

More than a class.
A community.

The early months with a baby can be joyful, exhausting, disorienting, and beautiful — often all in the same hour. Our Mum & Bub programme is designed to hold all of that.

Each week, the same group of mothers comes together at our Redhill studio. There's a structure — a topic, a guest expert, a theme — but there's also space. To ask questions. To sit with how you're really feeling. To watch your baby discover the world alongside other babies doing exactly the same thing.

You book a pass, and you come when you can. Life with a newborn doesn't follow a schedule — we know that.

Real friendships

The same faces every week. The connections made in these sessions often last long after the eight weeks end.

Expert input that matters

Each session features a specialist in the postnatal field — lactation, sleep, osteopathy, mental health, movement — not generic advice.

Midwives throughout

Our BB midwives are present every week — for questions, for context, and for the conversations you haven't known who to have.

Baby-led, mum-centred

Your baby explores. You exhale. Both are the point.

The fourth trimester is
a becoming.

Matrescence — the transformation into motherhood — is one of the most significant identity shifts a person can experience. It is rarely talked about, rarely acknowledged, and rarely supported.

Our Mum & Bub programme holds space for this. Not every session is about your baby. Some are about you — your recovery, your identity, your mental health, your relationship with your body and your partner. Because a well-supported mother is the best thing for a baby.

The fourth trimester

The first 12 weeks after birth — a period of immense physical and emotional adjustment that deserves as much attention as pregnancy itself.

Matrescence

Coined by anthropologist Dana Raphael, it describes the developmental process of becoming a mother — as significant as adolescence, and just as turbulent.

You are not just a mother now

You are still you. This programme is a space to hold both — the new identity and everything that came before it.

Common questions

What age is this for?
The programme runs across 8 weeks and is designed for babies from around 6 weeks to 8 months. The 4-session pass is best suited to babies 0–4 months; the 8-session pass covers the full 0–8 month range. If your baby is outside this range, reach out and we'll let you know if it's still a good fit.
What if I can't make every week?
That's exactly why we offer flexible passes. You book a 4 or 8-session pass and use your sessions across the programme whenever you can make it. Life with a newborn is unpredictable — we know that.
Can I bring my baby?
Yes — babies are not just welcome, they're the point. We set up the space so babies can be on the floor, fed, changed, and settled while you're in the session.
Is this the same as Coffee Mornings?
Coffee Mornings are free, open drop-in sessions — unstructured, come anytime, no commitment. Mum & Bub is a cohort programme with the same group meeting weekly, a rotating curriculum, and guest experts. Both are valuable, but they serve different purposes.
When does the next programme start?
Programmes run in rolling 8-week cohorts. Message us on WhatsApp to find out when the next one begins and how many spots are available.
